How to make Bar or Restaurant Flyers easily & CHEAP !
There is no need to pay a designer hundreds of dollars to make flyers for your bar or restaurant. Download Photoshop for $19/ mo. click Adobe Creative Cloud and buy templates for your flyer at Graphic River . Most templates are around $7 and up to $20ish depending on how intense you want to get. Once you get used to this process a flyer shouldn’t take you (or your staff member) more than 30 minutes or so. Bar or restaurant flyers have their place but do not rely on them as a weekly form of advertising. Read more on this here Social Networking for Bars & Restaurants.
TIP: As you might have seen in previous posts I do NOT like flyers as a form of advertising, especially if overused. Reserve flyers for special events that need to be informative but keep it creative at the same time. Remember, “Be the show not the commercial”.
Flyers should be used for SPECIAL OCCASIONS and events. Overusing flyers on a weekly basis for mundane things like Happy Hour or “Taco Tuesdays” is a terrible practice! Facebook will crawl these images and censor their reach because they are technically “advertisements”. Even worse your customers will tune out because of the constant bombardment of “promotions”.
People want interesting and entertaining content, NOT meaningless ads! Here is a method I prefer to the overuse of flyers. I always hear “yeah but what if I need to get a message out to the public that a photograph won’t convey“? (Like happy hour specials for example). Type your specials in the text portion of a post. This way you can still use a great food photograph to draw attention. I get push back from bar and restaurant owners quite a bit over this but statistically you will get WAY more eyeballs on a post if it’s done this way.
