Bar & Restaurant reputation management services claims too good to be true?

Bar & Restaurant reputation management services

There are a lot of reputation management companies out there, mostly legit, but if one of these companies GUARANTEES you a 5 star overall rating in 30 days regardless of how bad your current ratings are or how many of them you already have, hang that phone up!  These claims are mathematically impossible and even if they do get you to 5 stars, you will soon get right back down to where you currently are very quickly.

Yes this is a service I offer so call me bias if you’d like.  One thing I’ll never do is give unreal expectations.  I’l never bullshit anyone.  Online star ratings and reviews, for the most part, are pretty accurate.  What I mean by this is that the positive experiences vs. negative ones are accurate.  That guy that says on Yelp that he wasn’t allowed in the door because of race is VERY likely inaccurate.  Chances are he wasn’t allowed in because of another factor (dress code, intoxication, etc.).  The fact remains that he had a “negative” experience.

Respond to your online reviews!

This is the single biggest factor in bringing in new business to your door from a marketing perspective.  Word of mouth is of course king.  Online reputation management is #2, and very rarely taken advantage of.   Our services can do this for you, contact Bar Marketing Basics for more on this.  BUT it isn’t something that you can’t do yourself, you just need to find the time.  Your responses should be to both the good and bad reviews, all the time.  Don’t respond a month later.  Don’t be defensive even if the reviewer is dead wrong about their experience.  Use a review aggregation system like Reviewpush.com

Don’t forget to FLAG the reviews that are a violation of terms and conditions.  If someone is being offensive, calling someone out personally, or is a blatant competitor, flag these reviews and get them removed!  One bad review could cost you  as much as 30 customers!  So take this seriously.
